Parents' Retreat

Parenting is a journey filled with remarkable joys and challenges, and when you’re navigating the unique path of supporting a child or young adult with communication needs, the journey becomes even more extraordinary. Introducing our Parents’ Retreat – an oasis designed exclusively for parents like you, brought to you by Speech Pathology Tasmania. The retreat is a place where connection, community, and rejuvenation are nurtured.

The Parents’ Retreat is not just an event; it’s a haven where parents can connect with others who are on a similar journey. There’s something incredibly empowering about finding common ground with parents who understand the intricacies of raising a child with challenges in their communication development. Whether your child is taking their first steps towards speech and language or has already made significant strides, you’ll find companionship and shared experiences that remind you that you’re not alone.

The Parents’ Retreat is not centred around clinical discussions or therapy sessions. It’s a space where you can momentarily step away from the clinical focus and immerse yourself in an environment that nurtures your well-being.

The Retreat offers a welcome break from appointments and assessments, allowing you to recharge and embrace a holistic and shared perspective on your parenting journey. Using the generous methods of Parker J. Parker and the Centre for Courage and Renewal, this retreat offers both safety and challenge to explore personal and professional questions of courage, freedom and strength, about raising our children.

The Retreat will be held in a private home in Kingston, Tasmania. Exact location details will be shared with attendees prior to the event.

Please take a few moments to complete the questionnaire prior to purchasing your ticket.

Rosie looks forward to embarking on this journey with you.
